Pixies released Head Carrier, their second "post-meeting" album last September. The album with 12 titles, faithful to the group's inimitable sound union between surrealism, psychedelism, discord and surf rock, was produced by Tom Dalgety (Killing Joke, Royal Blood) and recorded at the Rak Studio in London this year from mid-February to mid-March.
With an original sleeve signed by the group's historic artistic director, the legendary Vaughan Oliver, this album is a sign of the Pixies comeback. The group - Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering – took advantage of it to officially welcome the double bass player Paz Lenchantin to the Pixies' permanent line-up. Lenchantin has been with the group on tour since January 2014 and fully participated in the recording of Head Carrier. His soft and dreamlike voice is emphasised on the title "All I Think About Now".
