Keziah Jones (8.30 p.m.) - Soul-Funk
Similarly to his blended music that he describes as blufunk, Keziah Jones has been travelling the world for two decades, regularly releasing albums like eclectic and electric postcards. Keziah Jones is a travelling and acrobatic guitarist whose music is like sound poems. He has found a name for this very personal style, "blufunk", combining soul-funk, blues, rock and African rhythms, in this way reducing the borders between his native continent and his adopted west.
For the second time, the artist will appear on the stage of the Théâtre Jean-Deschamps to introduce his new album Malèna. An album which is the result of the love that a father has for his daughters. MICHEL SARDOU makes a comeback with "LA DERNIÈRE DANSE" accompanied by a big 31-piece orchestra and has selected the Festival de Carcassonne to stage this event before a major tour after the holiday period in 2017.
After a triumphant tour in 2013 and four years' absence, Michel Sardou who, to date, has sold more than 100 million records, is coming back to the Théâtre Jean-Deschamps for a unique show where he will sing his greatest successes and new songs for his DERNIERE DANSE to thank his public for having stayed with him for 50 years.
Pixies released Head Carrier, their second "post-meeting" album last September. The album with 12 titles, faithful to the group's inimitable sound union between surrealism, psychedelism, discord and surf rock, was produced by Tom Dalgety (Killing Joke, Royal Blood) and recorded at the Rak Studio in London this year from mid-February to mid-March.
